The Clash of the Titans

  It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of The Clash of the Titans Baytown Nationals previously scheduled for July 12^th at Houston Raceway Park.

Although we have held the Baytown Nationals over the same weekend for the last five years, and after failed attempts to consider the rescheduling of another event to be held at another Houston track on the same date, The Clash of the Titans has elected to cancel its race.  We feel that this cancellation will eliminate the need for racers to choose one event over another, and will allow the racers, the fans, and the sport to benefit, by putting on the best possible show.  We wish luck to the other track and hope that in the future they may also do the same for other race promoters and the best interest of the sport of drag racing.

The Clash of the Titans next event will be The Labor Day Nationals in San Antonio on August 30^th. We look forward to seeing everyone there and hope that everyone understands our decision.
